Wow. What an experience. I had no idea that returning to Joliet and seeing everyone would have this strong of an impact on me. After visiting the school and going to the pizza place and seeing everyone, I was amazed at all detailed knowledge of things that happened 25 years ago. There are pieces that I remembered and combining that with the pieces that others remembered, we were recreating 2-3 years of basketball experiences at West. What had taken years to accomplish, we had just re-lived in 4 hours. I felt like I was in a time machine.

On Saturday, traveling the long, straight, flat roads of Illinois to Bloomington-Normal and entering the large sports domed sports complex bought back the memories of "going down state." The court looked just as big and the energy was in the air. The work required on Saturday was less than we had to do 25 years ago, but it is still appreciated just as much.
