Gone Skiing
Since it was a record year for snow dumpage on the Sierras, we spent just about
every other weekend near Donner Summit. After taking telemark lessons from Ed
at Claire Tappon Lodge, we began skiing like "Inga and Sven," ballerinas who were
born with skis on their feet. Even snowboarders at Donner Ski Ranch were impressed
at "those skiers without back bindings."
The following year we took snowboarding lessons and are hooked.
A dear friend took the pictures below of a ski lift, we thought you would get
a
kick out of it. We couldn't find the attendant to answer our questions.
