Alda's pups were born on Jan 1 and 2, 2006
Alda is the proud mother of 8 more puppies. She had 9, but the last one was DOA. There are 5 girls, 3 boys. Four are yellow and four are black. She was bred with a black lab (like the 2 previous breedings), but this is the first time that she had yellow pups. She had her first pup at 4 pm on Jan 1 and the last one at 5 am on Jan 2. This is the first GDB litter for 2006.
All the pups are healthy and a good size. The smallest is 390 grams and the largest is 500 grams. 450 grams equals 1 pound. They are about the size of beer bottle, minus the neck.
Today, Jan 2, she was exhausted and slept the whole time. She was hand feed a couple of meals. She will raise them at GDB for 6 weeks. When they are 8-10 weeks old they are placed in Puppy Raiser homes.
Alda's pups have been assigned the letter L. All will have a name that starts with the letter L.
